Race update
The course: 606 nautical miles around Sicily
Starting and finishing in Valletta, the Rolex Middle Sea Race sends the fleet anticlockwise around Sicily by way of the Strait of Messina, Stromboli, the Egadi Islands, Pantelleria and Lampedusa.
The Rolex Middle Sea Race starts in Grand Harbour, Valletta and heads north up the east coast of Sicily to the Strait of Messina. From there the fleet rounds the volcanic island of Stromboli before turning west along the north coast of Sicily to the Egadi Islands.
The second half of the course runs south-east past Pantelleria and Lampedusa and back to the finish in Malta. In 2025 the race attracted 118 yachts and more than a thousand sailors from 31 countries.
It will be the first race for our young sailors, with many more to come.
